HOW TO GET TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE

Gröbe Villa is located in the residential district of Královské Vinohrady (Royal Vineyards), populated mostly by local people (as opposed to the city centre). This district boasts with green parks, elegant neighbourhoods and hip cafes. You’ll get the chance to experience the real, authentic Prague here with few tourists and reasonable prices at the same time.

The conference venue can be most easily accessed by the underground (metro) or tram. The nearest metro station is Náměstí Míru (the green line A); it takes about 15 minutes by foot to reach the Villa. Alternatively, you can make use of the tram stop Krymská that is served by lines 4, 13, 22 (8 minutes by foot).

TO/FROM THE CENTRE

Gröbe Villa has direct connections to the very heart of Prague: the centre is just 3 stops away by metro line A from Náměstí Míru to Staroměstská or 19 minutes ride by tram line 22 from Krymská to Národní třída or Národní divadlo. There is no need to change the lines, as both the line A and tram 22 pass through the very centre and continue further to the Prague castle (to metro stop Hradčanská, to tram stop Pražský hrad).

TO/FROM THE RAILWAY STATION

The main railway station is located directly at metro line C (red line) Hlavní nádraží. To get to the conference venue, the easiest option is to take the C line metro to I. P. Pavlova (2 stations, 3 min) and change for trams 4, 13, or 22 to Krymská (3 stops, 5 min).

TO/FROM THE AIRPORT

If you are flying to Prague, we recommend taking the 119 bus  from the airport (Letiště Ruzyně) to Nádraží Veleslavín metro station (final bus stop, 22 min) and then changing for metro line A to Náměstí Míru (15 min).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Prague public transport is reliable, efficient, safe, clean, cheap and often the quickest option to travel around the city. There are four types of tickets: the basic transferable ticket for 32 CZK valid for 90 minutes, reduced ticket for 24 CZK valid for 30 minutes and one-day ticket for 110 CZK or 3-day ticket for 310 CZK (1 EUR = ca 25 CZK). They can be purchased at almost any newsstand, at metro stations or via sms.
